a little about...

KJ

Hi, I am a dance and yoga artist who adores to be involved in dance and yoga in whatever shape or form it comes in.

Changing between performer, teacher, producer, yoga practitioner and choreographer to constantly deliver enjoyable and meaningful experiences is at the heart of what I do.

I began my training at The University of Chichester graduating with a 1st Class (Hons) degree in 2010, after which I went on to join Transitions Dance Company touring internationally and gaining a Masters Degree in Dance Performance from Trinity Laban.

During my professional career I have performed within a range of environments and with many fantastic choreographers and companies. Choreographers I have worked for include: Akram Khan, Lila Dance, Flexer and Sandiland, James Wilton, Katie Dale-Everett, Tim Casson, GlassHouse Dance, Marisa Zanotti, Balbir SinghJorge CrecisLAOWAI Collab and currently performs for Stopgap Dance Company and Commotion Dance.

Alongside performing I love to teach and be involved in many different community projects. Teaching a full range of ages and abilities from professional class to pre school and up to adult classes.
I work closely with Instep Dance Company, The Point and Commotion Dance. I also lead Retrospectif Dance Company (over 50’s dance company) based at The Point, Eastleigh.

Along side community projects I work as an associate lecturer at the University of Chichester teaching dance technique.
